Upholding Corporate Responsibility, Cherishing the Environment.

While the global population continues to climb, natural resources and arable land are steadily diminishing, making food security a major global concern. Fortunately, the Green Revolution of the 1960s brought about significant breakthroughs in breeding, plant protection, and agricultural machinery. These advancements led to a substantial increase in yields, effectively addressing the world’s hunger crisis.

Founded in 1965, Hui Kwang Corporation has grown alongside Taiwan through this era of agricultural transformation. For a long time, Taiwan’s crops suffered from persistent pest and disease infestations, which severely impacted production. Over the decades, Hui Kwang has been actively committed to the research, development, and production of plant protection agents and specialty chemical adjuvants. By establishing extensive distribution networks both in Taiwan and overseas, we have provided vital solutions for crop management and stood as a witness to Taiwan’s agricultural evolution.

As plant protection technology becomes increasingly scientific, we are also investing in the R&D of biopesticides, leveraging biotechnology to resolve crop issues sustainably.

Merging scientific rigor with technology for innovative manufacturing.

As the world increasingly industrializes, industrial pollution and ecological damage often follow in its wake. In response, Hui Kwang Corporation ventured into the development and production of geomembranes and other geosynthetics in the late 1990s, dedicating efforts to environmental protection and water resource conservation. This industry is notably recognized by the government as one of the “Ten Emerging High-Tech Industries.”

Guided by our founding philosophy of environmental stewardship and sustainable human development, the company officially renamed its two major business units at the end of 2009 to the Agro-Science Business Group (formerly Plant Protection) and the Environmental Technology Business Group (formerly Geosynthetics). As these names suggest, Hui Kwang remains committed to agriculture and environmental protection—the two pillars most vital to human life and sustainability—while seeking further opportunities for growth and contribution.

Our journey through the turn of the century has reinforced our belief: the true path to sustainable corporate growth lies in contributing to human well-being and solving global challenges. In response to global industrialization and capitalization, we have expanded our international footprint through overseas operations in Shanghai and Bangkok. Furthermore, the company’s stock has been officially listed on the Taipei Exchange since 2004 (Ticker: 6508).
